A 35,000 square metre distribution warehouse in Truganina needed 320 bored piers to 600 mm diameter, drilled to depths between 5 and 9 metres through reactive basalt clay. The slab program was tight and the principal needed piers ahead of the slab crew at every grid line.
We programmed two rigs working from opposite ends of the slab, kept the bored piers ahead of the slab pours by at least one grid section, and handed pour records across to the structural certifier in batches as we finished each section.
The full job — design, install, certification — was complete inside the principal’s program with zero variations.
