Depth range
5 - 8 m
A custom-built coastal residence on the Mornington Peninsula sat on saturated coastal sand, where the original geotech recommendation of bored piers ran into ground water issues at depth. We re-engineered the foundation to 42 helical screw piles between 5 and 8 metres deep — installed cleanly without spoil, slumping bores or compromised concrete.
The torque-vs-depth log was issued same day with a chartered-engineer certification, and the builder’s slab crew started two days ahead of the original program.
